European Statistics Handbook

The most important European markets at a glance

The eighth edition of the European Statistics Handbook addresses current developments in the fruit and vegetable markets in Europe, focusing on production volumes and international trade in goods. In 2024, sometimes extreme weather conditions had a major impact on markets in large parts of Europe.

The annual publication provides a handy collection of valuable information on the continent's major markets and producers, as well as on the main commodity flows for fruit and vegetables that support the import-export business.

The European Statistics Handbook thus helps companies in the sector to make better and more informed decisions. The publication contains not only figures, but also in-depth analyses that help the industry understand production, supply and trade data from a wide range of European markets.

Trend Report

The most important trends in today’s fruit and vegetable business

The future of fresh produce supply – An in-depth look at emerging sources and new trade patterns in fruit and vegetables

Produced by Fruitnet, FRUIT LOGISTICA's Trend Report 2025 highlights emerging trade flows and supply trends that will transform the international fresh produce market.
All over the world, those supply chains are evolving. Influenced by changing consumer demand in markets old and new, many of them are no longer as predictable as they once were.
The expansion of markets in regions like Asia, the increased focus on sustainable production in Europe, widespread investment in new and more competitive varieties, and the emergence of alternative growing regions are all driving transformation in the procurement of a wide range of products.
Download this year's FRUIT LOGISTICA Trend Report to see the latest developments for key fruits and vegetables in the global supply network. Use it to identify emerging sources of supply and trade flows that will influence the future direction of this fascinating and complex business.
